No matter what field or area of expertise you consider, there are too many people trying to do the same things all over again. πBut why reinvent the wheel when you can do something better?
Moreover, there are very high chances that someone would have already tried the way you are trying to do it.π
If we talk specifically about Digital Marketing or Content Marketing, already too much content is there on the web. There are multiple articles, videos, infographics etc about the same concept. Everybody tends to explain the same concept all over again in their own words but the basic content remains the same.π€
Now if you were to pick up one of those topics and rewrite it in your words and restructure it, even if that is in demand, why would someone read YOUR VERSION?π
How would you convince someone (or Google) that your content (out of the hundreds or thousands of already existing articles) is better?πββ
Don’t be hard on yourself. All you need to do to stand out is add unique value to it. And nothing can be better than sharing your own views and perspective about a particular topic.β
Instead of creating the same thing all over again, use it as a base and add value to it.π
Take this article for example. The quote is already written all over the internet. If the same is just mentioned here as well, would it be of any added value? versus now, when we share our opinion or explanation about it and share why the wheel is important?
The same happens when we are designing or creating a website or some product. Sometimes we recreate an existing thing all over again just because we want to do it all ourselves. But we don’t necessarily add any extra value to it.
So what is the point of doing it unless you do it for learning purposes? A lot of times, we can save time, effort and money by building upon what already exists instead of reinventing the wheel completely.
It also sets us apart as we are now packing it with additional value!
“You don’t have to reinvent the wheel; you just need to share your unique perspective on why the wheel is important.”
Now, questions for you:
- π How often do you find yourself just reinventing the wheel?
- π What do you think is more important?
Here is your chance to add value to the wheel! π
